The New York Times Code of Conduct, dated to last month, reads "The Times does not tolerate discrimination, harassment or bullying in any form," and specifically forbids sexual harassment, including "unwelcome advances, uninvited touching, requests for sexual favors, displaying sexually graphic images or other verbal or physical conduct that is sexual in nature."
Apparently the Times has a different standard for potential mayors than it does for its own employees. A spokesperson for the newspaper did not respond to an email asking if the paper had any plans to change its policy, or whether someone with Andrew Cuomo's record would be allowed to hold an executive position at the Times.
MR WRONG

Do you remember when our Government was discussing moving the wild—even by today's standards—racist U.S. President Andrew Jackson off the $20 bill and replace him with Harriet Tubman? What happened to that idea, huh? Write your Congressional Representative about that shit.

WEATHER REVIEWS
New York City, June 18, 2025
★★ The dampness was there waiting, soaking in, as it had possibly always been. Nothing anywhere was crisp or dry. Now and then a hot brightness from nowhere in particular overtook the gloom and fell back again. Then in the early afternoon the clouds—the unending, implacable clouds—dissolved, and full ordinary summer sun shone down. Here was something to put into the longer hours of the day. Out on the corner a man stood absorbed in his phone, shirtless for no identifiable reasons of exertion or sunbathing. The air was thick but not foul. Berries were growing and reddening on the brambles in the Park. Duckweed had gathered on the upstream end of the Pool, in the reverse of the way ice formed in winter. Down in the Loch, a big, bright koi was swimming, its orange shape visible from the top of the falls. Pigeons pecked at the ground in the deep wooded shade by an uphill trail, their green and slate and purple-bronze colors incongruous against the wet brown.

★ Sun burned down on a steamy morning. The haze downtown was blue rather than gray now. The moisture rising up out of the ground carried the combined smell of everything that had been decaying there; linden blossoms poured down perfume from above. At the end of lunch, the windows suddenly got dark and a burst of rain fell, far ahead of the forecast evening thunderstorms. Behind that came another, with fat white drops, passing even more quickly than the first had. The sky returned to blue but thunder sounded anyway, and the storms kept cycling, quick and treacherous, the rain now coming heavier and lasting longer at each round. One more long spell of sun shone, and then dusk arrived an hour and a half early.
